This seven-story, multifamily, affordable housing project is located in West Bellevue near Mercer Slough Nature Park. The generously sized residential courtyard on level 2 provides community-oriented amenities, including outdoor BBQ grills, a large play area with a climbing structure and mounded hill slide, integrated planters and seating, additional artificial lawn space for games or lounging and a raised deck covered with a pergola. The independent and integrated planters are planted with trees, shrubs and groundcover that provide the courtyard with a warm, residential feeling.

The main drive aisle features permeable pavers, fostering a pedestrian-scaled, traffic-calming environment along the east side of the building. At the right-of-way a newly paved sidewalk and street trees were installed with the Nuovo building to the west of Altaire. A new landscape buffer with deciduous and evergreen trees, shrubs and groundcover provides a buffer from 118th Avenue SE.
